Fresh off of the release of Star Wars: Battlefront’s BETA, Electronic Arts is taking advantage of the hype surrounding the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens proper trailer. You’ll get to play as Leia Organa, Han Solo & Emperor Palpatine.
Leia Organa, quick thing, fearless and strategic. All qualities that are good to have when being a Princess and Queen. Leia’s abilities include: Trooper Bane, a hard-hitting, boosted blaster shot, designed to be fired in single bursts that kill stormtroopers killed rather quickly. Trooper Bane will also deal out a lot of damage and be stunned, outside of Stormtroopers. She also possesses Enhanced Squad Shield, which can stop some Force abilities and Leia can even shoot out of it. She also has a Supply Drop, which drops a variety of power ups for ground troopers or health boosts for other Hero characters.
Han Solo, a very likeable character with a unique personality that fans have grown to love. Han possesses a gunslingers mentality as well as a lot of one-liners, offensive output, damage and a lot of mobility. Han has three useful abilities to even out the fight against the Empire. Rapid Fire, active for a few seconds, allowing Han to fire his Blaster as fast as you can pull the trigger, without overheating. Han also has Lucky Shot, an element of good fortune, which is a “build up and release” power that hits really hard and is rather effective towards vehicles. It also has other uses, but you’ll have to try them out to see them in action! Finally, Han has the Shoulder Charge, it is both an offensive and defensive move, which can be used to quickly get into and out of battles.
Emperor Palpatine, who pretends to be a weak old man but is very powerful. Palpatine’s main attack is the Force Lightning, which does a lot of damage to troops that are within reach. The Lightning also comes in a more powerful Chain Lightning form, which is an area that effects ability dealing damage to enemies in all directions. Another power is called Force Dash and shocks in another way, Palpatine moves very, very fast. And finally, Palpatine has the ability to drop power ups and resources to villains, called Imperial Resources.
