Virtual Reality performance test now available on Steam

Valve has released a Virtual Reality performance test on Steam. This 2 minute diagnostic determines whether your PC can run virtual reality content at 90 fps on the recommended settings.

This performance test was released prior to the release of the pre-orders of the HTC Vive next Monday at 10am ET.

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
Processor: Intel® i5-4590 / AMD FX 8350 equivalent or greater
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 970 / AMD Radeon™ R9 290 equivalent or greater
4.8GB hard drive space


The HTC Vive is expected to ship early April while the competitor Oculus Rift is expected to ship in July.
