FX’s Archer Wins First ‘Outstanding Animated Series’ Emmy Award

The wait is over! Archer has finally taken home its very first Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Series, after several nominations in the past, at the 2016 Emmy Awards.

The show won the award with Season 7 Opener Episode, entitled ‘The Figgis Agency’, against strong competitors as the last year’s winner ‘Bob’s Burgers’. Others was ‘The Simpsons’, ‘South Park’ and ‘Phineas and Ferb’.

“It feels great…I told myself awwww, we lost, just don’t worry about it…but it feels completely different to win.” – Matt Thompson, Series Producer.
