Aquaman Will Be A Swashbuckling Action Adventure Says Director James Wan

Entertainment Weekly caught up with the very busy director James Wan at the Australia in Film Awards Gala at NeueHouse in Hollywood on Wednesday and probe him with questions of the upcoming Justice League film Aquaman.

This is what he had to say :

“I kind of don’t want to give too much away but know this: The spirit that I’m going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story,”.  He continues , “It’s ultimately a quest story in the spirit of Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Romancing the Stone.”
“I think Amber and Jason Momoa, in their moments in Justice League, [are] going to give the rest of the world a flavor of what their own standalone movie could be,” Wan explained. “And that is just scratching the surface of what I plan to do.”

Among the many project he is currently involve with, the highly sought after Malaysian born Australian director/producer/executive producer is currently busy with the reboot of MacGyver television series, Mortal Kombat, Saw: Legacy and Insidious: Chapter 4.
