The San Francisco Deltas are a soccer startup, fueled by innovation and a dream. The club’s three pillars (Innovation, Transparency and Community) is constantly present on decision-making.
Innovation is around the fan experience where the club aims to turn spectators into participants by embarking on creating an Augmented Reality (AR) Jumbotron, in partnership with Verizon, allowing fans to watch exclusive content, including replays.
An early version of the AR Jumbotron was tested at a home game against the New York Cosmos on April 29. For that version, the trigger for the AR Jumbotron to appear was when the phone’s camera recognized the SF Deltas logo on black.
Still at early stages, this marks a new era of innovation to Pro Sport and its an amesome idea by providing fans an extensive new experience at home games.
