Ahead of the State of The Union address by President Trump Tuesday night, Showtime has released the full episode of the pilot online on its upcoming animated comedy series, Our Cartoon President. The ten-episode half hour series is a satire to the real life First family and his administration. While the presidency is barely a year, the endless supply of materials provided by this administration will certainly keep the series going for a few seasons. Let’s hope Stephen Colbert will not get stingy on his nightly monologue in his Late Show.
Our Cartoon President is created and executive produce by multi Emmy award-winning funny man/late night talk show host Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht(The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), R. J. Fried(Late Show with David Letterman, Problematic with Moshe Kasher) and Matt Lappin(The Colbert Report, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert). The series is produced by CBS Television Studios. The voice cast includes Jeff Bergman(Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader, The Looney Tune Show) as Donald Trump, Gabriel Gundacker(Sylvio) as Stephen Miller, Zach Cherry(Spider-Man: Homecoming, Search Party) as Ben Carson and Anna Eilinsfeld(How to be Single) as Ainsley Earhardt.
Here is a brief synopsis for the episode:
State of the Union. The President tries to revive his low approval ratings by delivering the greatest State of the Union speech in history and to strengthen his relationship with First Lady Melania by naming her the national bird
Our Cartoon President premieres with back to back episode Sunday 8 pm EST, February 11th. Check out the first episode in its entirety below.
