Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer and poster from the Transformers spin-off movies, titled BUMBLEBEE!

I’m giving into nostalgia here. Transformers are what I grew up on. I still remember buying Optimus Prime (like 5 times for reasons that I won’t get into, like my grandpa throwing ALL of my stuff away and I took care of everything LOL!). I want this franchise to succeed, but I want it to be different than what Michael Bay has put on the screen. I love what he has put out, but there’s something missing. Transformers: The Movie, the animated one just had something back in the 80’s that’s been missing from recent live-action movies. Hailee Steinfeld (who my daughter loves) will be a good addition to the Transformers universe. Director Travis Knight, who directed Kubo And The Two Strings looks like he’s adding a lot of “heart” into this series.

Produced By: Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto & Don Murphy, Michael Bay

Executive Produced by: Steven Spielberg, Biran Goldner, Mark Vahradian, Chris Brigham

Hailee Steinfeld, Martin Short, Pamela Adlon, John Cena, Megyn Price, Marcella Bragio, Peter Cullen, Vanessa Ross, Kenneth Choi, John Ortiz, Jess Harnell, Glyn Turman, Gracie Dzienny, Teresa Navarro, Nina Cheek,

Synopsis:

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
