On Season Nine of the hit cooking competition series MASTERCHEF, award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay, acclaimed chef Aarón Sánchez and renowned restaurateur Joe Bastianich will put the home cooks through a series of challenges and elimination rounds, in order to turn one into a culinary master.
This season, the judges each have eight aprons to hand out to those who they deem worthy and will mentor throughout their journey in the competition. The home cooks will learn how to break down a crab, cook for and serve 25 wildfire heroes who fought to save hundreds of houses in the southern California wildfires, prepare and serve a beer-infused lunch for 101 employees of the Anheuser Busch Brewery and face the show’s classic restaurant takeover challenge. In the end, only one home cook will claim the title of MASTERCHEF and the $250,000 grand prize.
MASTERCHEF is produced by Endemol Shine North America All3Media and Studio Ramsay, and is based on a format created by Franc Roddam and Endemol Shine. Robin Ashbrook, Elisabeth Murdoch, Georgie Hurford-Jones, Gordon Ramsay, Yasmin Shackleton, and Ben Adler serve as executive producers.
