Candytopia, the candy-coated experiential adventure, announces today the launch of a new app for iOS and Android devices. Developed in partnership with Augmently Inc., the Los Angeles based augmented reality (AR) creative agency, the app incorporates AR technology and brings Candytopia’s interactive, immersive experience to life for visitors in an entirely new way.

The new Candytopia mobile app provides guests at both of its locations in San Francisco and New York with an enhanced interactive experience and more opportunities for capturing unique, sharable content through the use of Augmently’s proprietary AR technology. Guests can download the Candytopia app in advance of their visit. While at Candytopia, they can take a photo or video of AR-enhanced installations that make candy and confetti appear to leap off the wall and fantastical creatures come to life. Guests can now take the one-of-a-kind candy-filled experience home with them with an AR-enabled Coaster Set that animates Candytopia’s flying pig and unicorn mascots. They can see characters dance and record fun videos to share with their friends or post to social media. The Coaster Set retails for $16 dollars and is currently available for purchase at both locations.

Candytopia is an outrageously interactive candy wonderland with over one dozen rooms featuring larger-than-life interactive art installations and full sensory experiences for guests of all ages to enjoy. It currently has two locations in San Francisco near Union Square and in New York in Midtown Manhattan.

John Goodman, CEO of Candytopia said the following:

“Candytopia is a mini theme park that transports guests to an imaginative confectionary wonderland. We strive to bring guests a unique immersive adventure and continue to push the boundaries of the experiential industry as we grow,. By partnering with Augmently, Inc, and incorporating AR technology into Candytopia, we’re taking the experience to entirely new level and extending its magic for guests so their visit doesn’t have to end when they go home. We think this is the future of experiential and we can’t wait to share it with our community first.”

Ziggy Kormandel, Founder & CEO of Augmently, Inc. said the following:

“We wanted to create a product that people not only wanted to share online, but also in the real world. We believe the coasters will end up not in a drawer but rather be on display in the home to be shared with whomever comes for a visit. When done right, Augmented reality is a magical opportunity and Candytopia is the ultimate in presenting an amazing experience.

In addition to the AR features, the app also features functionalities for guests to easily purchase tickets and take part in Candytopia’s hi-def photo ops throughout the experience known as Sugar Rush.
