Electronic Arts and DICE recently released a new launch trailer for the upcoming Battlefield V!

Battlefield V takes place during World War 2. It will feature a story mode, online multiplayer and eventually will get a new battle royale mode as well. I played the open beta and really enjoyed the game. There is an amazing attention to detail in each map and I love how the battlefield constantly changes during multiplayer matches. This is in part due to the game engine which allows for destruction and some awesome weather / environmental effects. Incase you missed it, check out my older post about the game here.

Battlefield V is World War 2 like you’ve never seen or played before. A mix of new and iconic multiplayer modes deliver all-out warfare for up to 64 players on maps traversing unseen and untold locations. Lead your squad to victory with modernised movement and weapon mechanics, and customise the soldiers and equipment in your Company. Single-player War Stories captures the large-scale war through personal stories from those wrapped in the broader conflict. Plus, Tides of War continues the journey for all players well after launch. Battlefield V is out worldwide on 20th November.

FEATURES:

CONQUEST: A very popular and massive 64 player online mode with large maps, vehicles, aircraft all available. This mode is easily one of the most enjoyable and can lead to some very intense online battles. Here is what DICE have said: “Fight for key locations on a massive map where you and your team will come closer to victory when you control the majority of the flags. Build defenses and solidify your frontlines using the recently-unveiled Fortifications system, towable weaponry, and Squad Reinforcements.”
BREAKTHROUGH: “In Breakthrough, the map is divided into several sectors, all owned by the defending team at start of match. If you’re on the attacking team, your goal is to take the sectors one by one in a sequential order, which is done by controlling all the sector’s available capture points.”
FRONTLINES: This mode has been described by DICE as “a mix of Conquest, Rush, and Battlefield 4’s Obliteration mode.” Two teams fight for control over flag objectives. Each time a team has gained control, the next objective is unlocked and the frontline is therefore pushed even further towards the other enemy teams main base. This happens until the last flag has been obtained – which leads to the enemy base being opened!
DOMINATION: Two teams fight over multiple objectives. Once a team has taken over half of the flags, the enemy team loses respawns.
TEAM DEATHMATCH: A classic mode where two teams fight to the death!
FIRESTORM BATTLE ROYALE: (this mode will be coming at a later date)
