First and foremost, thank you to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment for allowing me to review the MATRIX TRILOGY 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack that includes 4K Ultra HD/Blu-Ray/Digital HD)! The Matrix Trilogy is currently availble on 4K Ultra HD!

The picture quality is top notch, taken from a new scan of the original camera negative and are the first remasters of the films in nearly 15 years supervised by the director of photography Bill Pope!

The audio is also top notch quality, with the DOLBY ATMOS Surround Sound engulfing you in the sound.

The Matrix Reloaded picks up right where The Matrix left off. Neo and the rebel leaders have 72 hours until more than 250,000 sentinels discover Zio and try to destroy it and it’s inhabitants. Neo is tasked with choosing between Trinity and everyone in Zion. The first scene is a dream sequence that tells future events that Neo tries to make sure and avoid, because it leads to Trinity’s Death. To me, I believe the Matrix Trilogy changed the game as far as CGI/Special Effects are concerned. The visuals as far as the moving code, the black screen with the green numbers/letters falling like rain, stands out like no other. The other thing that the Matrix Trilogy got right: the fight scenes! In The Matrix Reloaded, you get to see those two twins, played by real life twins Neil and Adrian Rayment) that can “float” through things and regenerate their bodies/clothing. The other thing that is really rather good: the freeway scenes. It’s also where the Cadillac CTS was introduced.

The movie begs the question about knowing the future and trying to do whatever it takes to avoid something you know is going to happen, such as destiny. From the beginning of the movie, Neo knows the end to this particular situation.

As far as trilogies go, The Matrix Trilogy is right up there for me, along with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, The Lord Of The Rings, Back To The Future, Mission: Impossible, The Terminator, Die Hard and The Bourne trilogies. If we’re putting these in any sort of order, The Matrix Trilogies might rank #2 to me, behind only The Lord Of The Rings because of the massive undertaking those movies took to make as far as recently released trilogies go..

RATING: A+

The Matrix Trilogy would make a GREAT holiday gift! You can order from Amazon at the bottom of this page!

THE MATRIX RELOADED

They’re back for the powerful second chapter of The Matrix trilogy, and exciting new allies join them in the struggle against foes who are cloned, upgraded and closing in on humanity’s last enclave. Back, too, are The Wachowskis and producer Joel Silver, expanding their vision with a spectacle that rocks the senses.

THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS

THE REVOLUTION IS NOW: The Matrix Revolutions.

NEO. MORPHEUS. TRINITY.
