Since it’s the Holiday season, here are a couple of classic Christmas / Holiday themed movies that we always enjoy watching this time of year!

As always, there is a good mixture of movies here. Movies range from Christmas classics to fun, comedy movies. There is even some horror for those who enjoy a good scare during the holidays!

HOME ALONE (1990)

An eight-year-old troublemaker must protect his house from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation.

A movie anyone can enjoy, no matter how old you are.

DIE HARD (1988)

John McClane, officer of the NYPD, tries to save his wife Holly Gennaro and several others that were taken hostage by German terrorist Hans Gruber during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles.

This Bruce Willis classic is a must-watch during Christmas time if you are a fan of action movies!

A VERY HAROLD AND KUMAR 3D CHRISTMAS (2011)

This is the third movie in the Harold and Kumar franchise. If you enjoyed the other Harold and Kumar movies, you will definitely have a fun time with this one. It has some great laughs and is enjoyable to watch.

Six years after their Guantanamo Bay adventure, stoner buds Harold Lee and Kumar Patel cause a holiday fracas by inadvertently burning down Harold’s father-in-law’s prize Christmas tree.

Set during the holiday season, this was a great Tim Burton movie starring Michael Keaton as Batman! I really enjoyed Tim Burton’s recreation of Gotham City in his Batman movies.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946)

An angel is sent from Heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed.

BAD SANTA (2003)

A miserable conman and his partner pose as Santa and his Little Helper to rob department stores on Christmas Eve. But they run into problems when the conman befriends a troubled kid, and the security boss discovers the plot.

A boy who has a bad Christmas ends up accidentally summoning a festive demon to his family home.

THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL (1992)

The Muppet characters tell their version of the classic tale of an old and bitter miser’s redemption on Christmas Eve.

JINGLE ALL THE WAY (1996)

A father vows to get his son a Turbo Man action figure for Christmas. However, every store is sold out of them, and he must travel all over town and compete with everybody else in order to find one.

A selfish, cynical television executive is haunted by three spirits bearing lessons on Christmas Eve.

This is a great Bill Murray movie based on the Scrooge character from Charles Dickens novel. It’s a great Christmas movie for the whole family and is one I love to watch this time of year.

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (2000)

On the outskirts of Whoville, there lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch who plans on ruining the Christmas holiday for all of the citizens of the town.

A great Jim Carrey movie where he stars as The Grinch.

NATIONAL LAMPOON’S CHRISTMAS VACATION (1989)

This is a classic Chevy Chase Christmas movie. It’s a lot of fun and has some classic moments in it.

The Griswold family’s plans for a big family Christmas predictably turn into a big disaster.
