Developers IO Interactive recently revealed their plans for additional Hitman 2 content in 2019!
Hitman 2 is an amazing game. I have been playing it regularly and it has a ton of replay value. As mentioned in many of my previous posts, Hitman 2 has assassination missions taking place in a variety of super detailed, open, sandbox environments such as in Miami, Mumbai and many more. There are many ways to complete each mission. I often find myself replaying missions multiple times to complete challenges and find out more about the underlying story behind each of the targets. The missions all feel very immersive and they do a great job of challenging the player. The game encourages experimentation and creativity in how Agent 47 completes his objectives.
Outside of the story mode, there is a fun sniper mode as well as a great ‘ghost mode’ which lets you compete in various challenges with other people online. Check out my older post about this. It is even possible to replay missions from Hitman (2016) using the improved Hitman 2 engine. This is done via the legacy pack (which can be purchased if you don’t already own Hitman 1 – and is FREE for those who do own Hitman 1).
IO Interactive have been actively listening to the fans and have been consistently providing new challenges and elusive targets for the game. Here is what they had to say about future downloadable / additional content:
We’re super excited to share a first look at new HITMAN 2 content and give our players a glimpse into the future of the game. From new locations, new missions and new sniper maps to new unlocks and Ghost Mode locations, there’s a whole lot of content on the horizon for owners of the base game and Expansion Pass. Today is also the first reveal of the new Sniper Maps, Locations and Special Assignment Missions that are included with the Expansion Pass and Gold Edition; Agent 47 will be visiting The Bank, The Prison and The Resort before the end of the year. Each new location will bring new targets, challenges and mastery unlocks that can be used in all locations.

Elusive Target: The Prince

Its time to suit up and go coastal. HITMAN 2’s next Elusive Target, The Prince, has returned to Sapienza for a limited time.
