Tomorrow, Lost In Space: The Complete First Season will be releasing on Blu-Ray and DVD! Thanks to 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, Nothing But Geek had the chance to speak with a couple of members of the cast, including: Maxwell Jenkins who plays Will Robinson, Mina Sundwall who plays Penny Robinson  and Ignacio Serricchio who plays Don West!

NBGeek: First and foremost, thank you to each and every one of you for taking the time to speak with us! During filming of Lost In Space Season One, was there a moment that you remember most or stands out to you?

Ignacio: There are actually quite a few!  Seeing the different environments that are in the show is pretty cool

Mina: Definitely! It was an experience being on the set, living out these scenes that might seem far from normal, but with technology, we may be getting closer and closer to! The special effects that are used in the finished product are amazing!

Max: The experience of the first season was cool! It was like having a family on set as well as my normal family!

NBGeek: Max and Mina, do you have siblings and if so, does it help the family dynamic that comes into play with the show?

Mina: I’m on only child, from a small family. I was raised in New York. But, I always wanted to have siblings, so in a way, this show makes it possible!

Max: I have a sister named Samantha. She has been adopted by my show family and everyone in the show is pretty much family now.

NBGeek: So did either of you watch the original shows when researching the roles?

Ignacio: I did.

Mina: I did as well. I binged pretty much anything I could get my hands on!

Max: I watched everything in relation to the series. I also had a conversation with one of the series creators that suggested I check out E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, The Iron Giant and Black Stallion. The Iron Giant is one of my favorite movies now!

NBGeek: Season One was filmed primarily in Vancouver, British Columbia and Season Two was filmed there and also in Iceland, is there something yo got to do outside of filming that was memorable?

Ignacio: Doing what we do, it’s all memorable! It’s like we’re waking up on vacation.

NBGeek: When you’re doing what you love, it’s not work anymore, right?

Ignacio: Exactly! This is fun! We get to perform in these different environments and make things happen that might be really out there, but with technology out there, you never know how close we could be to getting there.

Max: Oh yeah, there were are lot of things we got to do, one that stands out, and I had to be VERY CAREFUL while doing it was snowboarding., that was in Vancouver. I’m also big into Norse Mythology and being in Iceland, what better place?

Mina: Touching on the technology, it’s interesting seeing the special effects that are added after we film our performances. We did utilize green screens to perform in front of where the special effects would be added later on. It’s an interesting way of doing things, because there’s so much that we can do. It gives us a freedom to take people watching to a variety of different places. In Iceland, there’s real life glaciers! We don’t have those in New York!

NBGeek: Is there anything that was filmed that didn’t make it onto the series that you want to see on the Blu-Ray/DVD release?

Ignacio: There are a couple of bloopers that I know I’m part of, but, I don’t know if they can be included cause some of the language I use in Spanish and Italian.

Max: I’m interested in re-watching the entire first season, because after we completed filming, we went back and re-shot episode 4 and episode 5. So I have to remember what the original versions of the episodes were!

Mina: I think the part that is interesting is actually on the Blu-Ray as extras. It’s some of the commentary, the deleted scenes and bloopers.

NBGeek: Now that Season One is releasing on Blu-Ray/DVD, can you give us any information on Season Two?

Ignacio: I’m the last one that gets information when it comes to dates!

Max: Season Two has wrapped filming.

Mina: I believe there will be information released soon that will give you a better sense of when Season Two will release on Netflix soon!

NBGeek: Thank you to each of you for your time! Don’t forget, Lost In Space: The Complete First Season is available TODAY on Blu-Ray/DVD!
