The 2019 Call of Duty® World League season concluded with eUnited winning the most prestigious prize in professional Call of Duty® esports: The Call of Duty World League Championship. Through August 14-18, 32 teams from around the world competed in Los Angles across a massive five-day tournament in the last event of the Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 competitive season.

eUnited captured the organization’s first-ever Call of Duty esports world championship, driven by the strong teamwork and skill of event MVP Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr. 100 Thieves, OpTic Gaming, and Enigma6 rounded-out the remaining top four teams at #CWLCHAMPS.

“Congratulations to eUnited for their victory at the 2019 Call of Duty World League Championship,” said Johanna Faries, Commissioner of Call of Duty Esports. “Thank you to the teams at Activision and Treyarch as well as our league sponsors for helping us deliver an incredibly competitive and entertaining season of gameplay for our fans around the world.”

In 2020, Call of Duty Esports grows to a city-based franchise league featuring games in home markets around the globe, including announced teams in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Minnesota, New York, Paris, and Toronto. Additional team announcements are coming soon.
