Thanks to the folks at Survios and Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM), I’ve the opportunity to play BIG RUMBLE BOXING: CREED CHAMPIONS on PlayStation 4 for a little over a week! Now, I’ve been a gamer long before some of you were born, so I go back the arcade games Punch-Out and then of course, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out on the Nintendo. In Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions, you take on the character Adonis Creed, played by Michael B. Jordan in the movies.
I REALLY LOVE THIS GAME!
I started out on ROOKIE mode. I couldn’t win against the first opponent for the first two times I took him on. So I went into training mode. Of course, in training mode, you get to fight anyone you want and it’s just really you learning the moves, so I had to take on Rocky Balboa. The part that makes this game interesting, is you aren’t fighting against someone who is directly in front of you. They can move, just as you can, around the entire boxing ring. So there’s one punch and even combos that you can execute and then there’s then with each connected punch, you build up your SUPER combo hit, which if you wait til the right time, can be the perfect means of knocking your opponent out. Another key thing to learn is DEFENSE! You gotta keep your hands up, because this is REAL BOXING!
There are a couple of different game modes, you can run through, including ARCADE, VERSUS, TRAINING as 20 distinct characters from the CREED and ROCKY franchises.
If you’re a boxing fan, a fan of the ROCKY and CREED franchises, just love sports in general, my suggestion is you check this game out!
