Universal Pictures released a new promo at the Grammy last night for its upcoming musical sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. The original  2008 Mamma Mia movie was adapted from the Broadway musical of the same title and collected over $600 million in the box office. A love story that inspired by the most popular Swedish pop group ABBA, the sequel will see the return of the principal cast of Meryl Streep(Donna), Julie Waters(Rosie), Christine Baranski(Tanya), Amanda Seyfried(Sophie), Dominic Cooper(Sky), Pierce Brosnan(Sam), Colin Flirt(Harry) and Stellan Skarsgard(Bill). New cast include music icon Cher, Lily James(Young Donna), Jeremy Irvine(Young Sam), Hugh Skinner(Young Harry), Alexa Davies(Young Rosie) and Andy Garcia.

The original producers of the film Judy Cramer and Gary Goetzman returns to helm the production. Judy Cramer is also the creator and producer of the world-wide smash hit of the Broadway musical. Britain’s Ol Parker(The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Now is Good) is the new director of the sequel. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA return to provide music and lyrics and served as executive producers along with Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Phyllida Lloyd, Richard Curtis and Nicky Kentish Barnes.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is a new original story sets ten years after Mamma Mia taking viewers back into the magical Greek Island of Kalokairi. The story also wove between the past and the presence and how the characters relationship comes to be.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is set to open in theater July 20th. Take a look at the new promo below.
