According to reveal details of ‘The Osiris Sequence’ — a bridge into a new universe made possible by Ingress Prime, and how our own universe may have discovered the mysteries of XM in the first place, suggests that Prime is coming during Summer 2018. But not as we expected! According to John Hanke, Ingress Prime is set to launch in October 2018, along with the Ingress Anime that is said to be an introduction to Ingress Prime.

“The story has continued uninterrupted since launch,” Hanke said. “That’s going to build to the launch of the ‘Ingress Prime’ universe.”

According to Hanke, Ingress Prime is targeted to be more accessible and will be a rework of Ingress built on lessons learned on how people use augmented reality, accessibility, sharing components and understandable of the gameplay.

“Ingress is a deliberately obscure game. We want to make sure people can make their way through that and get to the actual gameplay. We want to make that smoother for ‘Ingress Prime.” – Hanke.

In other words, Niantic is targeting Ingress Prime for PokemonGo type of players! Ouch 🙁

I’m looking forward to see the changes in Ingress Prime and specially how Niantic will run the anomaly Cassandra Prime on July 26 without the Prime scanners. According to the Osiris Sequence, Cassandra Prime is scheduled to begin in 26-July-2018. This anomaly is on a different universe and only made possible to attend with Ingress Prime!!! Let’s wait and see how this anomaly turns out!
