More than 100,000 fans will be attending this year’s Anime Expo at the Los Angeles Convention and none will want to miss the Alita; Battle Angel activities. Based on the manga by Yukito Kishiro and adapted for the big screen earlier this year by Academy Award winners James Cameron & Jon Landau as well as visionary filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, Alita will be taking over the expo with must-see daily activations.

MANGA LOUNGE

WHAT:           Anime Expo’s annual Manga Lounge is being taken over by Alita: Battle Angel. There                                                 will be plenty of Alita manga for reading, a photo opportunity and actual props that were used during                           filming will be on display.

ALITA COSPLAY MEETUP

WHEN:           Saturday, July 6

WHERE:         Los Angeles Convention Center
Site 2 Meetup – LACC north entrance off Chick Hearn Ct.

WHEN:           11am – 12pm PT

WHAT:           Cosplay is such an integral part of the Anime Expo experience and we’re inviting fans to live out their                         Alita dreams by becoming the title character and the other inhabitants of Iron City. Appearances by                             favorite cosplayers including Stella Chuu, Zekia, Kitsurie and Yume!

THE MANGA MURAL

WHAT:           Across the street from the convention center, artist Cloe Hakakian is painting an amazing manga                                 inspired mural that embodies the essence and humanity of Alita. There will also be an interactive AR .                         component that will surprise and delight fans and passers by alike! There will also be a panel for                                  consumers to put themselves in the mural.

Synopsis:
