The Grease Flash Mob by Fizzbox was hosted on April 17th in Brighton station to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Grease and to raise money for Brighton’s Rockinghorse children’s charity.
Brighton station came to life as the staff from Fizzbox broke into dance. Fans of the cult classic arrived at the station in flocks at Midday where they met by the piano and watched the iconic Grease Lightening and Hand Jive dance.
From the event, Fizzbox raised £250 for Rockinghorse – which will go towards supporting sick children across Sussex and specifically towards funds for the Trevor Mann baby unit at Brighton’s Royal Sussex Country Hospital.
Rob Hill CEO and Founder of Fizzbox comments:
“We are over whelmed by the public support for this event and delighted that we have raised money for the Rockinghorse Children’s charity. We plan to host a lot more fun charity events for the Brighton community and hope that we can enthral our company ethos into everyone ‘Escape the ordinary, celebrate together and create memories!
Terrina Barnes, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Rockinghorse, also added:
“We’re delighted to have been the beneficiary charity of choice for the Grease Flash Mob at Brighton Station. It’s such a fantastic way to celebrate 40 years since the movie was released and we were delighted to be part of it. The funds raised will be donated towards our ongoing projects at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, including our current digital X-ray appeal. Thank you to the organisers Fizzbox for their support, and of course to everyone who put some money in the buckets.”
Nice and fun to watch. Great to see the old and youngters watching and celebrating this fantastic Flash Mob, proving how popular the 40 year old musical is 😉
