The premiere episode delivered more adults 18-49 and 18-34 viewers than all other Spanish-language broadcast networks combined at 10pm, outperforming them by +13% among adults 18-49 (1,235,000 vs. 1,091,000) and +26% among adults 18-34 (531,000 vs. 423,000). At 10pm, “El Señor de los Cielos” was the most-watched program in Spanish-language prime, outperforming Univision’s “Por Amar Sin Ley” at 10pm by +72% among total viewers (2,147,000 vs. 1,246,000), +121% among adults 18-49 (1,235,000 vs. 559,000) and +119% among adults 18-34 (531,000 vs. 243,000). Fueled by last night’s premiere, Telemundo was the #1 broadcast network at 10pm, regardless of language, among adults 18-34, and outperformed CBS and ABC at 10pm, among adults 18-49.
Locally, Telemundo was #1 at 10pm, regardless of language, among adults 18-49 in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Orlando.
On the social front, the premiere of “El Señor de los Cielos” was the #2 most social drama series across all broadcast networks, regardless of language. The premiere episode was the #1 most socially engaged primetime show across all Spanish-language networks by a huge margin, with over 11x more interactions for the Super Series™ versus other Hispanic programs in prime Wednesday night.
