More than 3-and-a-half billion fans across the globe are intensely watching every offside, corner kick and goal of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Some of soccer’s most legendary names have taken the pitch for their country to try and secure the world’s biggest sports prize. TidalWave Comics looks to add to the excitement with a series of comic books that chronicle the stories of the sport’s most influential stars.
Current football legends, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and two of the brightest super-stars of World Cups past, David Beckham and Diego Maradona, are featured in a series of biography comic books that explore their on-field exploits and share their personal stories.

The comics “Fame: David Beckham,” “Fame: Diego Maradona – The Hand of God,” “Fame: Cristiano Ronaldo,” and “Fame: Lionel Messi” have be repackaged in an exciting new format and are available now.
TidalWave’s recent partnership with Ingram allows them to produce high-quality books. The comic book will feature a heavy-stock cover and bright, clean colors in the interior. Ingram works across the full publishing spectrum, providing assistance to some of the largest names in the business to local indie authors.
Portland, Oregon-based TidalWave Comics enlisted Americans Michael Frizell and Peter Rogers to write the stories, featuring art by Angelito Amaro Bernuy from Toledo, Spain and Pablo Martinena from San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, Catamarca Province, Argentina, to create comic books which truly break down international borders.
