Working towards complete screen ubiquity, TBS and TNT announced the availability of their streaming apps on the Xbox One game console from Microsoft, the first gaming console to carry the top-rated network apps. This announcement delivers on the networks’ commitment to providing access to its programming everywhere consumers watch TV. The TBS & TNT apps are currently available to Xbox users and will be followed by upcoming launches on additional Smart TVs this month.
Karina Kogan, senior vice president of digital media and products for TBS & TNT had the following to say:
“By making our programming available on Xbox One, we’re growing our connection with younger, heavy video and entertainment consumers, who are a key target demo for our hit shows and are using gaming consoles as their primary path to television content. The end goal is to create the most frictionless viewing experience that connects viewers to our brands however, whenever and wherever they want.”
The TBS and TNT apps have continued to gain popularity with 5.8MM new downloads in the first four months of 2018.
