Video Game Developers Daybreak recently mentioned that H1Z1: Battle Royale (for PS4) would be exiting open beta very soon!
As mentioned a few months ago in an older post, H1Z1 is one of the original Battle Royale games. It was always a PC game until recently it was re-built for the PS4. The PS4 version has been in open beta since then. However, Daybreak announced that H1Z1: Battle Royale is leaving open beta and launching on 7th August!
The full release will bring new items, a battle pass and more features. Here is the original synopsis for the game:
H1Z1 HAS BEEN REIMAGINED AND BUILT SPECIFICALLY FOR CONSOLE. NEW WEAPON POWER PROGRESSION, FASTER MOVING GAS, MORE AIRDROPS AND VEHICLES TO PUSH THE ACTION. NATURAL CONSOLE CONTROLS AND 60FPS ON PS4 PRO. NO BUILDING AND NO CRAFTING…NOTHING BUT PURE BR ACTION. THE BATTLE ROYALE GAME THAT STARTED IT ALL. PARACHUTE IN AND HIT THE GROUND RUNNING. WHETHER IN SOLO, 2-PLAYER, OR 5-PLAYER MODE, GRAB WEAPONS AND GEAR, AND LISTEN CLOSELY FOR THOSE TOXIC GAS WARNING SIRENS.

New Weapons:
Check out these screenshots of the new weapons (a new RPG and awesome SOCOM semi-automatic sniper rifle) coming in the full release of H1Z1:
These weapons are sure to make the gameplay even more tense and tactical. In particular, the RPG has the ability to completely change the end game when the enemy is in a vehicle. It has the potential to force enemies out of their vehicles!
New Vehicle:
The new vehicle is called the ‘ARV.’ This vehicle can carry a full five player squad as well; something which will be very useful in the ‘fives’ squad mode.
Battle Pass:
Here is what Daybreak have said about the new battle pass:
Battle Pass Season 1 will be available at launch with 3 reward lines (free, premium and PS Plus) and 30 rewards tiers. Players can unlock tiers by earning XP through gameplay or through in-game purchases.
The battle pass should be a great addition as it can give each match even more importance and purpose. I am looking forward to seeing what the battle pass includes in the near future.

H1Z1: Battle Royale is a free-to-play game and the open beta is currently still available to download and play, via the PlayStation store. Be sure to check it out! All of the new items mentioned in this post will be a part of the full release of the game on August 7, 2018!
