We already knew that Ingress anime is set to premiere on Fuji TV‘s new +Ultra programming block in October 2018. But now we have information that Fuji TV is working with Netflix to deliver the anime worldwide \o/
“The anime peers into the ‘Ingress’ universe and allows viewers to see a part of that universe that is uniquely expressed,” – Hanke.
During a recent Interview, John Hanke – Niantic CEO, provided more information about the Ingress Animation.
With exotic matter leaking in the world through portals influencing people in different ways, the story will follow Makoto and Sarah that were impacted by the matter. Makoto is said to see history by touching things, while Sarah can see certain aspects of time and space. A third mysterious character, Jack, will be running to the encounter of the duo. The three characters will be pulled in to the Ingress battle, Enlightened versus Resistance, while trying to uncover the secrets behind the corporation that is abusing exotic matter on humans experiment.
Jack is said to be part of the upcoming INGRESS PRIME, the update game coming this Summer.
Ingress Anime while brings an entirely new material, it will overlap the ongoing storyline of the Ingress game and will introduce Ingress Prime, set to launch this October along with the animation.
