Why a tiny phone these days? The Palm is not intended to be your primary phone. It’s goal is to be your secondary phone that syncs with a primary Android or iOS phone. TCL and Verizon are betting on this new model of phone for your need to leave your big phone at phone or office, but still to be social engaged with people around.
To help balance your smartphone usage, The Palm somes packed with a “Life Mode” that turns off all notifications in an effort to help eliminate distractions and focus on what matters most.
This is a brilliant idea and I hope it goes Global with other mobile operators joining Palm. I use multiple devices daily (BlackBerry Passport, Alcatel Pop 4 Premium and a Motorola MotoG) and being able to have a secondary phone using the same number as my primary and on a small size would fit my needs while heading to te beach, sports activities, walking in the park with the family, running sessions, music festivals, and many other activities that a big phone would not fit nicely.
While most news portals, bloggers and users will say it’s useless and suggest using a secondary powerfull phone, they don’t see the simplicity of having your own number on a smaller device that suits your needs in some activities that don’t require a big phone! This is how you reinvent the smartphone market with a minimalist solution for your secondary phone needs!
The Palm goes beyond a smartwatch needs and is a fully functional smartphone!
As a vivid Palm user in the PDA era, I’m happy for this comeback in such a brilliant way and hope to have it available global 😉
