RnD64 has announced JAMMY, the all new, super-portable digital guitar with detachable neck!
By the time the idea of Jammy popped up, RnD64 had been developing the IoT electronic devices for 7 years already. And, it just so happened that most of the team members were guitar players, or at least passionate about music. One day out of the blue, a friend — who is a pro musician and a frequent traveler — showed up at theoffice, sharing with us the pain of his. He just couldn’t stand the hassle of carrying around his full-scale six-stringer during trips. It was way too large to play on the go — wherever the inspiration hit him.

The team really felt for the guy! In the back of their minds, they all wished our own guitars were much more portable so we could strike a chord during the commute, at the office — or literally anywhere. That’s how the idea of the backpack-sized guitar with realistic guitar experience came to live.
Jammy features include:
- Extreme portability: it fits into most of the backpacks and complies with the airlines’ carry-on regulations. It’s all about the neck that can be easily detached making the whole thing only 17” long.
- Great playability: its 15 standard sized frets are suitable to play 70% of the rock hit-songs
- With the ¼” and ⅛” standard jack audio outputs you don’t need any adapter -– plug your Jammy into an amp or just stick your earphones in
- Cool design, inspired by legendary guitars of the past mixed with a cutting-edge technology gadget
- Jammy can be used as a MIDI controller via USB or Bluetooth to record tracks and play thousands of instruments (including VSTs) in DAWs like Logic Pro, Ableton Live, GarageBand etc.
- Unlike keyboard MIDI controllers or pads, Jammy lets you use guitar techniques and articulation (bends, vibrato, hammer-ons, pull-offs etc) while playing instruments that sound nothing like a guitar – synths, brass, strings, drums etc.
- In MIDI mode it can be used as a sampler with a total of 96 assignable keys.
