Days Gone: New Trailers! – Infected Predators, Deacons Bike & More

Sony recently released new trailers for Days Gone, the post apocalyptic game by Sony Bend Studio!

As mentioned in previous posts, Days Gone is a huge open world zombie survival game set in the USA. The game is exclusive to PS4 consoles. Here is the official synopsis and new gameplay launch trailer:

Step into the dirt flecked shoes of former outlaw biker Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter trying to find a reason to live in a land surrounded by death. Scavenge through abandoned settlements for equipment to craft valuable items and weapons, or take your chances with other survivors trying to eke out a living through fair trade… or more violent means. With humanity devastated by a global pandemic and ravaged by feral creatures known as Freakers, any mistake could be your last in your attempt to carve out a new life in the hostile Pacific Northwest high-desert.

As mentioned before, the main character Deacon is a biker. His bike is central to how you survive in the game. There is a limited amount of gas at all times so you must plan missions carefully in order to survive. The bike can also be customised and upgraded depending on your preferred play style. Features:

Open World:Players will get to explore forests, snowy plains, desert fields and much more in this Pacific Northwest setting. The game will also contain small towns, mines and caves, which should all make for some dangerous, unique encounters with both humans and the freakers. The world will also have a full, dynamic weather system. The weather will influence how enemies behave. This is awesome and should keep each encounter feeling unique and fresh. It also means that players can use various techniques depending on the environmental conditions.
Weapon / Enemy Variety: A whole range of weapons / skills will be available. This will include various traps, guns, melee weapons and some awesome upgradeable skills. Deacon also has a motorbike which he must use to get around the map. This bike will be crucial for the players survival. Enemies include both freaker monsters as well as humans.
ALOT of freakers: As shown in the trailer and screenshots, the game can handle a lot of enemies on-screen at any given time. This should make for some very intense and exciting gameplay moments.
