Filmmaker and star of MTVs “Dare to Live” worked with the Hex design team to build the ultimate videographer backpack
HEX, award-winning fashion accessory brand, today announced the result of a year long design collaboration with adrenalin junkie and “professional life-liver” Rory Kramer. The resulting Cinema Backpack has everything that an extreme living videographer could wish for.
Rory’s creative and immersive style of filmmaking means his requirements for carrying his equipment are a little more extreme than most. The Cinema Backpack was created to fit the Canon 1DX with lens, which requires a little more room than most bags. His work regularly sees him up mountains, through forests and over dunes. Therefore, comfort was an imperative, not least because Rory also suffers from scoliosis.
To ensure the bag could meet those requirements the Hex team designed a system that offers additional lumbar support to reduce the load-bearing on the shoulders. The weight distribution relies more on the hips and legs which are more stable muscle groups. Giving Rory more range when trekking across terrain.
The requirements were to carry more than just the camera of course. There is built in easy access to a laptop pocket plus other storage zones for batteries, filters and more. The final but no less important requirement was that it must look great. Rory’s signature style is reflected in the design which also features his “Run it!” logo across the back-facing panel.
Trent Valladares, Co – Founder said the following:
“The design isn’t simply a bag with Rory’s name on it, far from it. Rory worked with us for over a year, field testing prototypes and tweaking the design until we had a product we could all be rightfully proud of.”
The Hex x Rory Kramer Cinema Backpack is available now for $240
