Bethesda recently revealed a huge variety of free updates for Fallout 76, including a new Battle Royale mode!
At E3 2019, Bethesda took to the stage to reveal a whole bunch of new updates for Fallout 76. All of these updates are free to download for owners of Fallout 76 and range from new quests to a whole new battle royale mode.
Wastelanders Update:
First up is the huge Wastelanders update. This update will be coming in Fall 2019 and will finally bring human NPC’s to the game. Here is the official synopsis and brand new gameplay trailer:
People are returning to Appalachia in the massive free Wastelanders update! Year one of Fallout 76 was all about the opening of Vault 76 and players settling the Wasteland. In Year two, other humans are returning to reclaim Appalachia. That’s right – human NPCs are coming to Fallout 76! This huge update introduces a new main quest full of choices and consequences, and a lot of memorable characters with unique stories for you to interact with.
This update is something a lot of fans have been asking for. Traditional Fallout games have a lot of non playable characters with their own unique personalities. These used to add alot to story development and the excitement of exploration. For example, back in Fallout 4, it was so much fun encountering a random, strange community in the middle of nowhere. This update has the potential to really help combine the multiplayer Fallout 76 experience with the traditional Fallout 3/4 experience. This wastelanders update is also set to add more companions in the game as well as a huge range of new quests for you and your friends to play. I am looking forward to seeing what else Bethesda has in store for this game.
Nuclear Winter:
This is a exciting take on the Battle Royale genre. It is a 52 player battle royale where the aim is to be the last one standing.You will be fighting other players as well as the unique creatures found in the Fallout universe. You will be able to loot for new weapons around the map in order to gain a competitive advantage. Here is the synopsis and new trailer:
Nuclear Winter is a brand-new mode in Fallout 76 that pits you against your fellow players like never before. The battle for the role of Vault 51’s Overseer has begun. In Nuclear Winter, you’ll take part in a 52-player fight to the death. Rank up, unlock new and exclusive Perks, deploy a C.A.M.P. and even launch nukes. As the ring of fire closes in, will you be the last one standing?

FREE TRIAL:
Fallout 76 is FREE to try until June 17, 2019. This is your best chance to download and try out the games new features. If you are a Fallout fan, it is worth trying the game out to see how you like it. Bethesda is supporting the game a lot so this should result in a fun experience.
