IO Interactive have revealed more information about their upcoming DLC as well as future plans for more Hitman 2 content!
Hitman 2 is a great game. It offers tons of replay value and encourages player experimentation. Players can carry out various missions in a whole range of detailed environments using multiple techniques /weapons and disguises. My favourite part of Hitman 2 is the roleplaying aspect. I often find myself using multiple disguises to get close to the target. This is a lot of fun and something that isn’t possible in most games. IO Interactive have been updating Hitman 2 with new content regularly. Recently on a live stream, they revealed more details about upcoming plans for the game.
New Location and Main Mission – Golden Handshake:
The New location is set in New York. This new main mission takes place in a huge investment bank. The mission will continue the underlying Hitman 2 story found in the base game. Here is the official synopsis and brand new trailer:
HITMAN 2 – New York is a new sandbox location that takes Agent 47 to the New York branch of the Milton-Fitzpatrick investment bank. Wear new disguises and use new items to complete the mission and earn new unlocks that can be used in all locations. Agent 47’s mission at the bank takes place on a rainy day in New York where an investigation at the bank is in full swing. He must follow the money and eliminate the bank’s director to complete his objectives. Included in Expansion Pack 1 and Expansion Pass. Requires the full version of HITMAN 2.
This location looks so detailed and I can’t wait to play it. There seems to be a ton of secrets in this bank, as with the other missions in this game. The bank is an interior only level, similar to how some classic Hitman levels like the opera house were. However, it will be full of detail such as various departments (HR, ICT etc) as well as the customer facing section of the bank. All of this should provide some great role playing opportunities / disguises for Agent 47. It will be up to the players to try out and experiment with various methods of completing their mission objectives.

Owners of the HITMAN 2 Expansion Pass and Expansion Pack 1 will be able to download The Bank on June 25 2019. The bank location will be available in the game stores. This must be downloaded separately to the normal game patch / update.
Special Assignments:
These missions are exclusive for those who own the Hitman 2 Expansion Pass. Here is the synopsis:
These missions task Agent 47 with taking down a target of interest in an existing location. The first two Special Assignments are in Mumbai and Santa Fortuna with a new target and set of challenges to complete. Embrace of the Serpent and Illusions of Grandeur take place at different time of day compared to their location’s main mission and some elements of the location have been changed to support the gameplay for each mission.
Special Assignments are included in the Expansion Pass or Expansion Pack 1 and more Special Assignments will be released as part of the Expansion Pass later this year.
This update will be available from the 25th June 2019 for expansion pass owners!
Future Content Plans:
IO also teased more information about new sniper assassin missions as well as another major location addition in the future. This new sandbox location would be a resort. This should provide more unique experiences for Hitman 2 fans. More details about future content, including a JULY DLC roadmap will be revealed very soon.
