Rockstar Games have released some new content for Red Dead Redemption 2’s Story Mode!
When Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on PC, Rockstar added some single player story mode additions which were not available on the console versions of the game. These additions included more bounty hunter missions as well as an awesome photo mode.
Rockstar recently decided to release this extra content for the PS4 version of RDR 2 (Xbox will get the content in January 2020). Here is what Rockstar had to say:
Alongside the new early access content added to Red Dead Online with Moonshiners, PlayStation 4 players also get all the recent Story Mode updates that debuted in Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC. This includes Photo Mode – which lets you capture and share stunning images from the frontier with an array of features including free-form camera movement and the ability to add Filters, Stickers or Text and upload your shots directly to Social Club.
The new Story Mode content includes:
- Story Mode Bounty Hunter Missions: track down wanted criminals Herman Zizendorf, Camille de Millemont and Bart Cavanaugh
- Story Mode Gang Hideouts: take on the deadly Del lobos gang at Gaptooth Breach and Solomon’s Folly
- Story Mode Treasure Maps: Landmarks of Riches and The Elemental Trail
- “To The Ends of The Earth” Story Mode Mission
- Weapons Added to Story Mode: M1899 Pistol, Evans Repeater, High Roller Revolver and LeMat Revolver
- Horses Added to Story Mode: Warped Brindle Arabian, Few Spot Appaloosa, Perlino Andalusian and Red Chestnut Arabian
- Hidden Trinkets Added to Story Mode: Hawk Talon, Cat Eye, Shark Tooth, Turtle Shell and Crow Beak
I am very glad Rockstar decided to add more content to Story Mode. The main single player portion of Red Dead Redemption 2 is what makes it stand out amongst many other open world games. It had a fantastic story, acting and the world was designed with an incredible level of detail. I really do hope that Rockstar decide to release a larger story mode expansion pack in the near future.
The above story mode additions are available as soon as you download the latest game update on PS4. Xbox One owners will have to wait until January 21st until they can get their hands on this story mode content.
