Nacon’s Rig 600 series of headsets hit store shelves (Amazon, Walmart, Walmart, BestBuy & riggaming.com) and thanks to Nacon, I’ve had a pair of the Nacon RIG 600 HS wireless headphones in my possession.
Inside the box: the Rig 600 Pro HS headset, USB dongle and USB C charging cable.
The only minor thing, and it’s a minor thing to me, is that there’s no 3.5mm jack. This doesn’t affect my gaming in any way, shape or form, but I know some of you haven’t moved to a purely wireless gaming setup. Think back to when iPhone’s stopped having the headphone jack and required Bluetooth for any sort of headphones. This is the same circumstance.
The wonderful thing about this headset is that it is basically universal, meaning it works with PlayStation (HS), Xbox (HX), Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PC, mobile devices and basically anything that has a Bluetooth audio connection, truly multi-platform! The battery life is for around 18 hours using 2.4 GHz connection and 24 hours using Bluetooth, that means extended gameplay time!
I’ve worked in radio, at a recording studio and of course, have been gaming since the Atari and ColecoVision gaming systems were a thing, so when I tell you, that the quality that comes from these headphones, is very worthy of your $100, IT IS! The price range for a headset that includes Dolby Atmos is almost unheard of. The headphones engulf your ears to bring you pretty great sound. I play a lot of Call Of Duty and I want to hear every single noise, ESPECIALLY footsteps, so I can know where the enemies are and this headset provides that!
Something else that for us geeks, is the Rig 600 Pro Navigator App you can download to your cell phone. You can use it to change settings on your headset and customize the sound you want to hear, with multiple sound profiles available.
