AMC has released a featurette for its up coming horror drama series, The Terror. Base on the acclaimed novel of the same title by Dan Simmons. The ten-episode series is based on true events centers on the Royal Navy’s perilous voyage into a uncharter territory as the crew attempts to discover the Northwest Passage. Faced with treacherous conditions, limited resources, dwindling hope and fear of the unknown, the crew is pushed to the brink of extinction. Frozen, isolated and stuck at the end of the earth, The Terror highlights all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other.
The series is created by Soo Hugh(The Whispers). Hugh along with David Kajganich ( A Bigger Splash) served as the showrunners. Ridley Scott(Prometheus, Alien), Dave Kajganich, Dan Simmons(author), Alexandra Milchan(Paranoia) and David Zucker(Scary Movie franchise) served as the executive producers of the series.
The Terror stars Jared Harris(The Men from U.N.C.L.E), Ciaran Hinds(Justice League, Game of Thrones), Tobias Menzies(Casino Royale),Christos Lawton(HUGO), Mathew McNulty( The Musketeers), Adam Nagaitis(The Man With Iron Heart) and Sebastian Amesto(Broadchurch).
The Terror is set to premiere Monday 9 pm EST March 26th on AMC with a two-hour special. Check out the featurette below.
