Bethesda have revealed many more details about the upcoming Fallout 76 at their E3 Press Conference!

Bethesda Game Studios have revealed Fallout 76 to be a prequel game, set before any other Fallout game. However, this time it will be an online game set in a massive open world. This means that every other surviving human in the game is being controlled by a real person. This multiplayer Fallout looks amazing and should make for some great moments. The world itself was said to be four times the size of that in Fallout 4. This means players will have a huge environment to explore and gather resources with friends. The great building mechanics from Fallout 4 will also return but have been improved upon a lot!

Here is the synopsis and E3 trailer which showcases the game:

“Reclamation Day, 2102. Twenty-five years after the bombs fall, you and your fellow Vault Dwellers – chosen from the nation’s best and brightest – emerge into post-nuclear America. Play solo or band together as you explore, quest, build and triumph against the wasteland’s greatest threats.”

Features:

  • Multiplayer: This will be the first Fallout which will be multiplayer. The world is said to be ‘epic.’ This is going to be true since Bethesda have a track record of delivering and creating amazing worlds for gamers. Examples include past Fallout games and the Elder Scrolls franchise! Players will be able to create and customise their own character. This is what Bethesda has to say about this: “Create your character with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system and forge your own path in a new and untamed wasteland with hundreds of locations. Whether you journey alone or with friends, a new and unique Fallout adventure awaits.”
  • Location / Graphics: Fallout 76 utilises new graphics, lighting and landscape technology. The location is split into six regions within West Virginia. “From the forests of Appalachia to the noxious crimson expanses of the Cranberry Bog, each region offers its own risks and rewards. Post-nuclear America has never looked so beautiful!”
  • Building: “Use the all-new Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform (C.A.M.P.) to build and craft anywhere in the world. Your C.A.M.P. will provide much-needed shelter, supplies and safety. You can even set up shop to trade goods with other survivors. But beware, not everyone will be quite so neighborly.”
  • Weapons: As with older Fallout games, there will be a lot of weapon variety. However, one weapon in particular is said to be the ‘ultimate weapon’ in Fallout 76. This is the Nuclear Missile. Here is what Bethesda have said about this: “Go it alone or with fellow survivors to unlock access to the ultimate weapon – Nuclear Missiles. This destruction also creates a high-level zone with rare and valuable resources. Do you protect or unleash the power of the atom? The choice is yours.”
  • B.E.T.A Access: Players who pre-order Fallout 76 will get access to the Fallout 76 BETA to try it out early.
