Leading gaming headset and audio accessory brand Turtle Beach today announced the company is expanding its partnership with DreamHack in anticipation of the upcoming Atlanta festival taking place mid-November. This will be the third DreamHack event this year that Turtle Beach has sponsored and provided all gaming headsets for the Free to Play PC area, and the second consecutive event integrating the all-new Elite Atlas Pro Performance PC Gaming Headset.  This expanded partnership now allows for the Elite Atlas to be used on-site in competitions that tap into the vibrant and growing collegiate market, through the American Video Game League’s (AVGL) Community League of Legends and Fortnite tournaments.

Juergen Stark, CEO, Turtle Beach said the following:

“DreamHack creates some of the best gaming festivals in the world, so we’re excited to do more with them in Atlanta where we can showcase our just-launched Elite Atlas PC gaming headset. Not only is DreamHack a great environment where fans can experience first-hand the Elite Atlas’ true pro-level audio and comfort, but now we’re also going to get to watch some of the best collegiate gamers go head-to-head playing some of the best competitive multiplayer games in the world, using one of the best PC gaming headsets on the market.”

DreamHack is the world’s largest gaming lifestyle festival, designed as a global meeting place for gamers to come together to compete and connect. It’s a gaming event unlike any other – all about massive BYOC parties, paired with a plethora of competitive tournaments and esports competitions, and where fans can check out the latest gaming and tech goodies and partake in a variety of different activities. Last year, over 250K gamers attended a DreamHack event in-person, with an additional 135 million fans tuning in digitally. DreamHack Atlanta – one of the signature events in the United States – is set to take place November 16-18, 2018 at the Georgia Congress Center in Atlanta, GA, with 150 teams and 35 thousand fans projected to attend and experience the games, competitions, and excitement.

DreamHack CEO Marcus Lindmark said the following:

“We are proud that Turtle Beach, one of the biggest names in gaming audio, has jumped onboard as the main sponsor of the AVGL LoL and Fortnite tournaments and want to work with us to drive more attention around collegiate esports. College esports is a massive, yet underserved grassroots movement, so its exciting to be working with both the AVGL and Turtle Beach to help put an even brighter spotlight on these amazing college gamers.”

The AVGL is the leading college esports organization in the world, providing high-quality competition, content, and community support to thousands of college teams and millions of fans. This year DreamHack has joined forces with the AVGL to create a premiere collegiate esports series, which culminates with the final matches being held at DreamHack Atlanta. Currently, over 100 college teams nationwide are competing in an online League of Legends tournament to see who will get the chance to go head-to-head on the dedicated collegiate esports stage at DreamHack Atlanta, where the final two teams will compete in a best of five competition. Additionally, the DreamHack & AVGL Collegiate Series will feature 22 Fortnite Grudge Matches on the main stage. All players will be using Turtle Beach’s newly released Elite Atlas Pro Performance PC Gaming Headset.

Turtle Beach’s new Elite Atlas gaming headset sets a new benchmark for esports audio on PC. For pro-players and hardcore PC gamers alike, the Elite Atlas is built to win with a durable yet sleek metal headband with a suspended pad, ProSpecs™ glasses friendly design, and upgraded magnetic memory foam ear cushions featuring athletic fabric and synthetic leather working together to block out external noise. Audio performance centers around the Elite Atlas’ pro-tuned 50mm Nanoclear™ speakers that deliver immersive Windows Sonic for Headphones1 surround sound, and the removable high-sensitivity mic with TruSpeak™ technology for flawless communication with teammates. Finally, the Elite Atlas goes wherever gaming takes you with included 3.5mm and PC-splitter cables that connect to any PC setup. The Elite Atlas is currently available at participating retailers for a MSRP of $99.95.
