Today, Behaviour Interactive released Dead by Daylight, its hit 4v1 horror game, on Google’s new generation platform: Stadia. This launch is part of The Realm Beyond — Dead by Daylight’s initiative in embracing the possibilities of next-gen.
Trailer:
Dead by Daylight supports Crowd Choice, an exclusive Stadia YouTube feature. Viewers will be able to take control of the live stream by teaming up with other viewers to decide what happens next. Pick whether your favorite YouTube Creator is Killer or Survivor, followed by which character.
Cross-Play is also activated on Stadia, allowing players to join the entire Dead by Daylight community, ensuring fast matchmaking and no shortage of matches into the Fog.
Moreover, Cross-Progression will be enabled between Stadia and Steam in October. Using their new Behaviour Account, players will be able to seamlessly navigate from one platform to another, saving their progression.
Finally, Dead by Daylight on Stadia will benefit from the ongoing graphical update, with new overhauled maps and characters with each major content drop, until the game is entirely upgraded.
Mathieu Côté, Game Director, Behaviour said:
“We’re so proud to bring Dead by Daylight to Stadia. This is the result of a very fruitful collaboration with Google and is in line with our investments in the future of the game. I’m really excited to see Stadia players join us in the Fog,”
As part of the launch, for a limited time, Stadia Pro users can play for free and can expect to save up to 40% off on selected content. For the others, Dead by Daylight retails for $19.99 for the base game and $6.99 per chapter. Finally, a Dead by Daylight exclusive Stadia Gold Edition will be available for all players to purchase and will include the base game plus 11 add-ons. The retail price for this edition will be $69.99.
