Discover the story behind the hit song that changed two lives when POWER BALLAD arrives on Premium Digital and Premium Video on Demand beginning June 23 from Lionsgate. POWER BALLAD stars Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Nick Jonas (Camp Rock), Peter McDonald (The Stag), Marcella Plunkett (Once), Havana Rose Liu (Bottoms), and Jack Reynor (Midsommar).
When Rick (Paul Rudd), a past-his-prime wedding singer, meets fading boy-band star Danny (Nick Jonas) during a gig, the two bond over music and a late-night jam session. But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves — even if it means risking everything he cares about. From writer-director John Carney (Sing Street, Once), POWER BALLAD is a feel-good story about music, self-respect, friendship, and the price of ambition.
On June 23, POWER BALLAD will be available to rent via Premium Video on Demand (for a 48-hour period) and to purchase via Premium Electronic Sell-Through on participating digital platforms where movies are available for purchase, including Movies Anywhere™, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google TV, YouTube, and more.
